The history of Curoud Co., Ltd. dates back to 1955, when Tatsuhiro Kondo—father of our current executive, Mr. Kondo—opened "Kondo Shoten," a ceramics shop in Osaka. Approximately 20 years ago, we relocated to Kyoto and rebranded as Curoud.
We launched this website with a passionate desire to deliver the beauty of Japanese fine arts to the world. We believe that historic Japanese tableware is not just a vessel, but an integral part of the culinary art itself. It is our hope that Japanese restaurants operating abroad will use our pieces to enhance their craft and share the rich history of Japan with their guests.
